Supplier diversity is one of Georgia Power's major corporate goals. We have designed the company's initiatives to provide solid business opportunities for small and diverse businesses (including minority, woman, HUBZone, veteran and service-disabled veteran).

In recent years Georgia Power has spent record amounts with diverse businesses (see charts below). The company has also been recognized with numerous awards for its commitment to supplier diversity.

Georgia Power actively seeks small and diverse businesses that offer quality goods and professional services. Our goal is to promote economic growth and prosperity of the communities we serve and to have a supplier base representative of our customer base.

We continually take steps to provide solid business opportunities to these suppliers, to maximize their participation in the procurement process and to widen the pool of high-quality suppliers of materials and services that the company needs.
