Energy Check-up

Learn about your home's energy use and get recommendations on how to save money and energy.

Get started

It's now time to see exactly which rebates you might qualify for depending on which recommended home energy improvements you make. The rebates are offered to help reduce the total investment costs of your energy improvements.

If you have decided on the "Whole-House" approach, you may choose to use one contractor to perform your home energy assessment and a different contractor to make your home energy improvements. Or, you may decide to have the same contractor perform the assessment and make the recommended home energy improvements. The choice is totally up to you.

If you have decided on the "Individual Improvements" approach, some must be performed by a state-licensed contractor and others may qualify as do-it-yourself projects.

Eligibility Requirements

Home Energy Improvement Program Disclaimer

Must be a Georgia Power customer to participate. For "Whole-House" rebate consideration, a BPI energy Assessment must be performed, and recommended improvements must be completed by a qualified contractor participating in the Georgia Power Home Energy Improvement Program. Contractor will charge a fee for the assessment. Rebate eligibility for improvements depends on assessment results. All work is subject to third party verification. Any improvement agreements are between the customer and contractor. Georgia Power takes no responsibility for improvement agreements. Contractors set work prices. All rebates may not apply if customer's home is not eligible for all qualifying improvements. All reimbursement forms must be signed, submitted and reviewed for accuracy before rebate is paid. Rebates are subject to limitations and subject to change. Customer's actual utility bill savings will vary depending on individual energy usage and qualifying improvements made.
