Home Performance with ENERGY STAR®

Georgia Power's Home Performance with Energy Star program can help you begin saving money and energy today. There has never been a better time to consider looking for ways to help reduce your energy costs and lower your monthly power bills. In addition to the $1,900 worth of rebates* available for certain recommended home improvements, Georgia Power is also offering an additional limited time only $200 bonus* if one improvement is made to your home. And, you can save even more money if you take advantage of potential Federal energy efficiency improvement tax credits.

Reduce Your Energy Costs
Homeowners are often faced with multiple home energy challenges including drafty windows and doors, rooms that fluctuate between being either too hot or too cold, and high humidity levels that can cause mold. A comprehensive approach to home energy efficiency improvement is what Home Performance with ENERGY STAR is all about. If you're interested in improving your existing home energy performance or if you're remodeling or renovating your existing home this is a program for you. You can increase your homes energy efficiency, help reduce energy costs, improve overall indoor air quality, and create a more comfortable, healthier and safe home for your family. You'll also be helping to protect the environment through energy conservation.

Take Advantage of Rebates
Now is the time to take advantage of recently approved rebates for 2009. You could receive as much as $1,900 towards your home improvements*. Financial incentives are available to help offset the cost of the assessment and the improvements. All incentives are subject to specific improvements meeting pre-determined Test-out requirements (post-diagnostic testing). Please discuss with your contractor for more details. Choose a Qualified Contractor
With Georgia Power's Home Performance with ENERGY STARŪ program, a certified contractor will come to your home and conduct a comprehensive assessment to reveal exactly how your home's energy performance can be improved. A qualified home performance contractor's uses diagnostic equipment to test your home for problems and solutions. Rather than focusing on a single component, such as single-paned windows, an old air conditioning system, or leaky ductwork, a participating contractor will assess how improvements to all of these energy-related components and systems can work together more effectively. Home Performance with ENERGY STAR offers a holistic approach to creating a more energy efficient and healthy home environment.

Whether you have problems with a drafty house or if you know your furnace or air conditioner needs to be replaced, a Home Performance contractor working through Georgia Power's program will address your needs. View participating contractors list.
