Participating Contractors
Local Home Performance with ENERGY STAR contractors working through Georgia Power’s program must maintain high standards of quality. As participating contractors you will be required to undergo ongoing specialized training and complete projects which will be subject to periodic quality assurance inspections to verify that Home Performance with ENERGY STAR projects get done right.
Contractors interested in participating in Georgia Power's Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program must meet the certification guidelines of the Building Performance Institute (BPI), the industry's resource for building science technology that sets standards for assessing and improving the energy performance of homes.
Certified home improvement contractors will be required to perform a thorough whole-house Home Performance with ENERGY STAR assessment. You will then be required to provide customers with a complete cost effective report of recommended home improvements and inform the customer of energy efficiency incentives.
All interested contractors must also agree to and pass a Georgia Power background check and a drug and alcohol screening process. Georgia Power will maintain a Georgia Power Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program contractor list.
