Where is Blanton Creek Park and when does it open and close?
Blanton Creek Park is a full-service campground located on the northern part of Lake Harding, on the Georgia side. It is located off of Georgia Highway 103 and Lick Skillet Road. The gate at the Blanton Creek Park Campground opens daily at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 10:00 p.m. Blanton Creek Park closes for the winter. Please contact the field office for exact dates.

Call the park hosts at Blanton Creek Park at 706-643-7737. They will be glad to assist you.

How much does a construction permit cost?
There is no cost associated with Georgia Power issuing a construction permit for home owners on our lakes.

Who is responsible for moving dead, diseased, or damaged trees located on my leased lot?
The removal of dead, diseased, or damaged trees is the responsibility of the lessee. No tree should be removed from a leased lot without permission from Georgia Power and the lessee is responsible for obtaining permission.

Who establishes flood zones?
FEMA. The process to change the established flood zone is called “Letter of Map Amendment”. Contact FEMA for the packet of information.

Can I purchase my leased lot from Georgia Power?
The Company has no plans to sell any leased lots.

How can I become more involved with the community on my lake?
Georgia Power often sponsors activities which benefit the community and also distributes a newsletter. Additionally, homeowners on Lake Harding are encouraged to join the Lake Harding Homeowner’s Association. Please contact Kay or Steve McCall at 706-643-1324.
