When does the beach at Lloyd Shoals Park open and close?
The beach opens annually on Memorial Day weekend and remains open throughout the summer through Labor Day weekend. During this time period, beach access is allowed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays. No unaccompanied minors will be allowed in the beach area.

Are there any GPC camping facilities on Lake Jackson?
No, however, there is a GPC campground within a short distance on scenic Lake Juliette. For more information or reservations, call 478-994-7945, or the general Georgia Power camping information line at 1-888-GPC-LAKE.
When does the Dames Ferry Campground open and close?
Dames Ferry Campground opens each year on March 15th and remains open throughout the summer season until September 15th. The gate at the Dames Ferry Campground opens daily at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 10:00 p.m .
What fees are associated with GPC parks at Lake Jackson and Juliette?
Georgia Power day-use areas are opened to the public. There is a three dollar parking fee at Lloyd Shoals Park on Lake Jackson, and Dames Ferry Park on Lake Juliette. Annual parking passes may be obtained at the Lake Jackson Land Management Office or from the park hosts at Dames Ferry Park for $35. Camping rates at Dames Ferry Park are $16 per night for RV sites and $14 per night for tent sites.

Lake Jackson, also commonly referred to as Jackson Lake has an active homeowner's association that organizes community activities and distributes an informative local newsletter.
