With varied and abundant types of fish, Lake Jackson is truly a fisherman's lake. Species that can be found in Lake Jackson include: Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass, Striped Bass, Hybrid Striper, Black Crappie, White Crappie, Bluegill, Redbreast Sunfish, Redear Sunfish, Channel Catfish, White Catfish, and Bullhead Catfish.
Fishing in Georgia requires a fishing license. Licenses can be purchased at some sporting goods stores, convenience stores, marinas and county courthouses.
