Attractions
Lake Yonah, near Toccoa, Ga., has more than nine miles of shoreline. Covering 325 acres, Lake Yonah offers such varied outdoor activities as boating, fishing, picnicking and camping.
Tugalo Park
Located just below Tugalo dam, at the mouth of Lake Yonah, is Tugalo Park. There are primitive tent campsites at this location, making it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Along with tent sites, there are restrooms, picnic areas, a boat ramp, and areas for bank fishing. Tugalo Park is located off of U.S. Highway 441 and at the end of a very scenic road leading down to the park.
Yonah Boat Ramp
This access area provides the only public boat access to Lake Yonah. There is a paved ramp, docks, and a large parking area designed for vehicles with trailers.
Yonah Park
Yonah Park is the last recreation area you will find, as the current flows, on the North Georgia Hydro Group. It is located just downstream of the Yonah dam and powerhouse. The area provides for picnicking and bank fishing and is accessible from Georgia Highway 184.
