Looking forward to meeting the
challenges of 2010
This past year has been full of challenges for Georgia Power, and as we look forward to the holiday season and 2010, I want to commend each and every one of you for your efforts.
We faced some tough times, but as always, you rose to the challenges. Tragedy struck our company and its employees this year. And in September, heavy rains brought flooding to our state. Some employees saw their homes damaged or destroyed. You should all be proud of the way our employees rallied around their co-workers in their time of need to offer support and help.
It wasn't easy, and sometimes sacrifices had to be made, but you kept your commitments – to our customers, to our shareholders, to our co-workers, and to safety.
As we look forward to 2010, challenges remain, but we will continue to do everything we can to provide affordable and reliable electricity to the people of Georgia, just as we have always done. As you reflect on the accomplishments of 2009, enjoy this holiday season with your family and loved ones and know that you are what keeps this company strong.
