As an agricultural customer, Georgia Power understands that you have needs that are not typical of the regular business customer. Your electric needs may depend on the weather, time of year, and even the time of day, so we have developed rates based on these diverse set of circumstances. Customers that fall into this group are usually Farms, Irrigation, Seasonal Agricultural Business (farm stands, Christmas tree sales), golf course irrigation, grain mill operations, cotton gins, poultry structures, fruit and vegetable processing and storage.

  • Farm Service
    For individually owned farm facilities producing livestock, poultry, and other agricultural products.
  • Seasonal Agricultural Service (A)
    For agricultural businesses including crop production, crop services, grain mill and oil mill operations, and wholesale trade in farm product raw materials where at least Eighty-Five percent (85%) of the annual kWh consumption occurs during the billing months of October through May.
  • Seasonal Agricultural Service (B)
    For agricultural production including storage, drying, curing, handling, grain mill and oil mill operations and other agricultural related applications where at least Eighty percent (80%) of the annual kWh consumption occurs in any six (6) consecutive month period. The maximum demand cannot exceed 500 kW.
  • Agricultural Process Service Rate
    Applicable to establishments that provide processing or storage services of agricultural products to individually owned farm operations.
