Environmental Action
Georgia Power supports an array of environmental projects to make our air and water cleaner and our land more beautiful.
We are taking steps to reduce our impact on the environment by investing $1.3 billion over the next five years in additional controls in order to reduce the environmental impact of our power plants.
We’re also building and enhancing habitats for wildlife, and are involved in numerous company-supported programs that educate the public about the environment and energy conservation.
We do all this while continuing to keep our rates at least 15 percent below the national average.
