High Bills
Most are caused by:
- You used more energy then you expected. For example, you set the thermostat lower and/or ran the air conditioning longer during a period of hot weather.
- There were more days than average in your billing period.
- Your bill included an unpaid balance due from a previous month or another related account within Georgia Power.
- The actual price of electricity increased due to a recent Georgia Power rate or fuel case.
- Your home’s heating, cooling and other energy systems are not performing as intended and may need to be repaired or replaced.
