Our Metro Atlanta Community Development staff is focused on the 14 counties that make up metro Atlanta. This region, which comprises of more than half the state's population, is crucial to the future economic vitality of Georgia and the Southeast.

The role of the Metro Atlanta Community Development team includes the following:
- Build and maintain relationships with key organizations in the region;
- Influence the major economic development issues facing Metro Atlanta;
- Leadership development and strategy facilitation to improve economic viability, encourage downtown redevelopment and assist retention of existing industry;
- Assist and coordinate recruitment efforts at the local level.
