Vienna - Bratcher Creek Project
The West Georgia Transmission Improvement Project (Vienna - Bratcher Creek) will enhance the transmission system in the area to meet our customers' growing energy demands and keep the electric system reliable for everyone.
As the electricity demand continues to grow, improvements to keep up with the demand become necessary. In this case, the area in need of upgrades is located between Unadilla and Vienna, Ga. The upgrade will consist of a new 3.2-mile 46 kV transmission line to prevent overloads on existing lines in the area.
The new transmission line provides an additional transmission source that will reduce the likelihood of overloads and give an alternate source of power for the area serving homes and businesses.
