Our Joint Trench services team makes planning and installing fiber, TV and phone cables easier by laying the cables in trenches that are used for Georgia Power underground cable. Builders, communication and internet companies benefit from decreased installation costs and planning, while Georgia Power serves as the single point of contact for all work and planning associated with underground cable installations.
By having Georgia Power install your cables in the same trenches as electrical lines, the cables are provided greater protection from:
Cable service providers
Phone service providers
Internet service providers
Developers provide an approval for the development, including their primary phone & cable TV vendors. The Georgia Power Engineering & Construction Coordination team then submits the GPC underground design to those phone and cable vendors (potential Joint Trench customers). We take care of all project scheduling, final customer design and the delivery of materials.
We suggest you request Joint Trench utility construction during initial development meetings with Georgia Power. This allows us to ensure the cable, TV and internet providers are aware of this solution prior to installing any infrastructure.
