Shelter in Place order Lifted
We understand the importance of energy in our daily lives and we are here for you. We are providing an additional grace period to customers who self-identified as sheltering in place under the governor’s order to help provide some peace of mind.
Customers who are participating in one of our prepaid rates may currently have negative dollars remaining. To help you maintain service, we are providing the following options:
Every year the program helps low-income households pay for heating and cooling in their homes. Applications are made though a local Community Action Agency and the assistance is available in all 159 counties in Georgia.
This program provides Georgia residents both housing and utility assistance and is currently accepting appointments.
This free service can connect customers with community agencies that provide services which meet a wide range of needs, including:
Visit the United Way website or contact the hotline by dialing 2-1-1.
Funds donated by customers are matched by Georgia Power and made available statewide for utility assistance in local communities.
