Refunds, Credits & Savings

Georgia Power works every day to deliver world-class customer service and keep customers’ bills as low as possible. Over the past several months, the company has announced a variety of refunds, credits and savings due to a variety of factors, such as the Toshiba parent guarantee payment for the Vogtle nuclear project, reduced taxes from recent tax reforms, lower financing costs on the Vogtle project and an earnings refund based on strong 2016 performance. Check out this chart which illustrates the impact for the typical residential customer using 1,000 kilowatt hours per month in 2018 and in the coming years.
