Civic & Community
Georgia Power remains connected with communities across the state through important collaborations with civic and community groups–giving our customers a voice, and allowing us to better serve them.
We believe that building strong communities is essential to ensuring Georgia remains an attractive state in which to live and do business. That’s why, in 2016, we contributed over $3 million dollars to civic and community organizations. Maintaining strong relationships with key leaders and organizations that serve and strengthen our communities is one way we remain dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for everyone in our state. Our commitment to initiatives that build and improve the places where we live, work and serve is fundamental to our business and critical to building a brighter future for Georgia.
We invest in programs that create new possibilities for Georgians across the state. Whether it’s supporting veterans through volunteerism efforts with our Military Veterans in Power Employee Resource Group, our partnership with DAV (Disabled American Veterans), or empowering youth through the Boy Scouts of America, one way Georgia Power strives to positively change our neighborhoods is by encouraging diversity within all communities.
