Energy Assistance Programs

Energy Assistance for Savings & Efficiency (EASE)

You may be eligible for free, energy-efficiency home improvements that can help you save energy and reduce your bill. From improved attic insulation to smart thermostats that can help manage your home’s temperature – see if you qualify today.

Project SHARE

Since 1986, Georgia Power has been matching customer donations to Project SHARE to provide emergency assistance to individuals and families in need of help. Statewide assistance is available for food, shelter, utility services, medical care and more.


Senior Citizen Programs

Income-Qualified Senior Citizen Discount

Georgia Power customers 65 years of age or older with a combined income of 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or less may qualify for a low income senior citizens discount. Submit an application securely online.


HopeWorks

Income-qualified homeowners who are 60 years of age or older may be eligible to receive free energy efficiency improvements for their homes. Income level must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines to qualify for participation.

Community Action Agencies

There are currently 20 Community Action Agencies in Georgia, which serve all 159 counties throughout the state. The Federal, State and local resources currently managed by Community Action Agencies in Georgia include such services as Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), emergency assistance, home weatherization and much more.
