Haleigh Watson of Macon wins Grand Prize in Georgia Power’s 2017 Light Up the Holidays Contest

Georgia Power has named Haleigh Watson of Macon the Grand Prize winner of Georgia Power’s 2017 Light Up the Holidays Contest. Georgia Power hosted the second annual holiday contest to spotlight the distinct and festive ways Georgians celebrate the holidays, including light displays of all sizes and designs. Hundreds of photo entries were received during the contest with weekly winners chosen at random each week to receive free tickets for leading Georgia holiday attractions.

Watson’s winning entry submitted on Georgia Power’s Facebook page received approximately 4,000 votes/likes. Watson received a Grand Prize trophy as part of a VIP experience for four at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta on New Year’s Day, which included tickets to the game, FanFest passes, pre-game field passes and four “swag” bags filled with Falcons gear.

Two Runners-Up are also selected based on the total number of votes/likes Both will receive a $250 gift card to Georgia Power Marketplace, Georgia Power’s single convenient online portal featuring the most popular energy-saving and smart-home products with a streamlined rebate process for Georgia Power residential customers.
