How much could I expect my monthly electric bill to increase?

The increase varies depending on the type of electric vehicle, as well as the amount the vehicle is driven. In addition, electricity usage and the time of day you charge your vehicle will also affect the price. However, compared with gasoline, you will see savings of greater than 70% on fuel costs.

Does Georgia Power offer a special rate for Electric Vehicle drivers?

Yes, we currently offer the residential plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) rate that is a time-of-use pricing that offers a lower price to support overnight charging (11pm-7am).
