A Message from Kim
When I reflect on 2024, I’m filled with pride about the remarkable journey we’ve had at Georgia Power. Together, we celebrated monumental milestones and overcame challenges, all while staying true to our commitment to being “A Citizen Wherever We Serve.” One of our standout achievements was bringing Vogtle Unit 4 into commercial operation—making Plant Vogtle the largest generator of clean energy in the United States.
This success is a testament to our dedication, innovation, and the relentless hard work of our team. It’s not just a technological and operational triumph, but it also underscores our commitment to providing clean, reliable, and sustainable energy for the future.
We also demonstrated our resilience and commitment during Hurricane Helene. Our teams worked tirelessly to restore power, support our communities, and ensure the safety and well-being of our neighbors. It was a powerful reminder that we are always here for Georgia, here for you, showcasing our deep-rooted commitment to serve our customers and communities.
But our dedication doesn’t stop at operational achievements. From volunteering in schools to improving our environment and advancing social change, we are deeply invested in the growth and prosperity of the communities we serve. The extraordinary commitment and passion of our employees, retirees, and community partners to make a positive impact is truly inspiring.
I’ve had the privilege of joining many of you at various volunteer events. These experiences have reinforced my belief in the power of collective action and the profound difference we can make when we come together. The dedication of our 6,500+ teammates across the state, along with the support of individuals like you, makes our communities stronger and more vibrant every day.

Reflecting on 2024, we are reminded of a year filled with a steadfast commitment to being Citizens Wherever We Serve. Our employees truly made our communities better places to live and thrive. From mentoring students and revitalizing local parks to supporting social initiatives and championing environmental stewardship, our employees, retirees, and partners went above and beyond to make a difference.
Their passion and dedication form the cornerstone of our community engagement efforts. I have personally witnessed this commitment firsthand, participating in various volunteer projects and observing the tangible impact of our work. For more than 140 years, we have been committed to empowering Georgia through volunteerism, philanthropy and partnerships. Our Community Impact Report is a snapshot of just some of the ways in which we are investing in the growth and empowerment of our communities. Over a century ago, Georgia Power’s first president gave us the mission to strive to be “A citizen wherever we serve.” Our mission is no different today than it was nearly a century and a half ago, and we know how important it is to carry the torch that has been passed to us as we serve our state.

We know that a good education unlocks a world of possibilities, and we believe that part of our mission is to make sure every Georgian has access to the information that can expand their world. Through our education initiatives and intentional partnerships, we’re helping to ensure that every Georgian is prepared for whatever comes their way.
emPowering Communities
Part of being “A citizen wherever we serve” is helping to energize our communities beyond the power in our lines. We are proud Georgians, and it is our privilege to connect and grow our communities in every corner of our state. By bringing a different kind of energy into our communities, we are helping to create a Georgia that works for everyone.
