How Rate Plans Impact Your Bill
What you're charged for your energy usage under your rate plan makes up a part of the Current Service charge on your bill. It includes a Basic Service Charge and an Energy Charge, but does not account for things like Fuel Costs or additional taxes and fees.

How Changes to Rate Plans are Decided
All rate plans are subject to change through our Regulatory Filings, including pricing details and payment structures, if approved by the Georgia Public Service Commission.
Please consult the full FlatBill® Tariff Details (PDF) for all details pertaining to this rate plan.
The offer includes all applicable rates and riders, including ECCR, DSM, fuel costs, municipal franchise fees, and a small premium. The premium is included to guarantee a fixed daily price, regardless of potential changes in weather, electricity prices, and energy usage.
Sales tax is not included in your FlatBill offer.
At the end of your 12-month FlatBill® period, you’ll receive a new FlatBill® offer based on your prior 12 months and projected usage for the next 12 months. There's no true-up settlement or a deferred amount to pay after your annual contract. That means no surprise payment at the end!
Near the end of the contract period, you will receive a new FlatBill® offer for the next 12-month period. You will be renewed for 12 more months at the new contract price unless you choose to transition to a different rate.
You must request removal from the FlatBill® plan by contacting Georgia Power by calling 1-888-660-5890?
If you terminate the program before the end of the contract, you may be responsible for a settlement amount. Specifically, if the electricity you used results in a billing amount under the residential rate that is greater than what you were billed under the FlatBill® program, you must pay the difference. However, no settlement will be required if you fulfill the annual contract.
A customer’s expected monthly energy consumption is calculated based on the historical metered usage at the premises adjusted for vacancy, normal weather and consumption changes in customer behavior.
A customer unable to complete the 12-month contract period may be required to pay an additional amount. See the FlatBill Tariff for specifics.
