Using energy overnight can help you save.
The Overnight Advantage rate plan is designed for customers who use more energy during the overnight hours (11 p.m. - 7 a.m.) and want lower electricity prices during these Super Off-Peak periods. If you charge an electric vehicle (EV) at home, own a home battery, or are able to adjust your household energy usage to these times, you can realize greater savings on your electric bill.
This rate offers lower prices during the super off-peak to encourage overnight EV and battery charging.

What is On/Off-Peak?
Since energy demand is higher during the hot summer months (June – September), generating electricity during this time costs more. This period is called On-Peak pricing and runs from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on summer weekdays, excluding holidays. Off-Peak pricing occurs from October through May.
Since the electricity during Off-Peak hours is cheaper to generate we can pass those savings on to customers by offering lower rates during this time.
Super Off-Peak is the added benefit for Overnight Advantage customers who can choose to utilize the cheapest hours of every day between 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. This is perfect for customers who have a home battery or charge an electric vehicle at home. Approximately 33% of the hours in a year fall within the Super Off-Peak period.
How Overnight Advantage works:
To get the most out of this rate plan, try to use a majority of your energy during the Super Off-Peak period all year between 11 p.m. - 7 a.m., and avoid using energy during the On-Peak period — only active during summer weekdays between 2 p.m. - 7 p.m.
