Free In-Home Energy Audit from Georgia Power

A visual walkthrough of your home designed to help evaluate energy use.

 

A trained Energy Advisor will walk through your home, review visible conditions, and provide personalized recommendations to help improve comfort, reduce energy waste, and identify ways you may be able to save energy and money.

During the visit, your Energy Advisor will:

  • Check key areas of your home, including insulation, heating and cooling systems, water heating equipment and major appliances.
  • Look for visible issues that may affect comfort or energy use.
  • Use approved tools to record findings from the visit.
  • Share recommendations based on what they find in your home.
  • Install select energy-saving products at no cost, when available and appropriate.

How It Works

In-Home Energy Audits are provided by Utility Energy Services (UES) on behalf of Georgia Power.

  1. Schedule your appointment online.
    Eligible customers can schedule an appointment by clicking the link below.
  2. Receive confirmation and reminders.
    Utility Energy Services will send a confirmation email and appointment reminders after you schedule.
  3. Plan for a four-hour appointment window.
    Appointment times are available in four-hour blocks, and an adult age 18 or older must be home during the visit.

Before your appointment:

  • Secure pets before the Energy Advisor arrives.
  • Make sure the Energy Advisor can access key areas of your home, including the attic, crawlspace or basement, exterior areas, electrical panel, heating and cooling system, water heater, appliances, ductwork and thermostat.
  • Eligible energy-saving products may be installed during the visit, when available and appropriate.

Availability is limited. Customers who have received an In-Home Energy Audit or similar home energy assessment within the past 12 months may not be eligible.
