Bills due during the update will be extended. If your bill is due between 8-31-26 to 9-7-26, you will have additional time to make your payment.

You can still make a payment using one of these options:

Outages & Emergencies

Outage reporting and emergency support will remain available at all times.

You will still be able to report outages and emergencies by calling customer service at 1-888-891-0938, and check outage statuses at georgiapower.com/outagemap

Start, Stop, or Move Service

Service requests will be limited to inactive meters only.
You are still able to start service at any location where power is not currently on.
If your new location has an active meter, meaning power is currently on, we’ll be able to stop or transfer your service after the update.

The Property Manager Portal is unavailable during the system update.

You can still pay your property bills:

Builders Portal

The Builders Portal is unavailable during the system update.

 

During this time:

  • You will not be able to start or stop service​

  • You will not be able to view or track existing service requests or orders​

Energy Assistance Portal

Only for organizations and CAAs

 

The Energy Assistance Portal is unavailable during the system update:

  • You are not able to submit pledges or payments
  • Customer support will be limited to outages and emergencies only
  • Non-urgent requests will not be processed

EnergyDirect

EnergyDirect is unavailable during the system update.

The following services will remain available:

  • Real-Time Prices
  • Alerts
  • Premium Real-Time Data

How long will account access be limited?

The system update is planned for August 31 – September 7, 2026. Full account access will resume on September 8.

We have not changed our process for contacting customers around bills or service during this time.

 

We encourage customers to beware of potential scams where criminals impersonate our employees and demand immediate payment to avoid disconnection or solicit personal information from you.

Who do I contact if I have an outage or emergency?

You will still be able to report an outage and emergencies as you normally do by calling Customer Service at 1-888-891-0938.

Will there be changes to my account?

No.  While we are updating our system, your account number and bill format will remain the same.

Will my account information be impacted by the system update?

No, this will not impact your account, and your account information will remain secure and private. This update gives our Customer Service team a better way to serve and assist with account transactions.

Will I still be able to make a payment?

Yes. You can still make a payment using one of these options:

Will my electric service be affected?

No. Your electric service will not be interrupted. Outage reporting and the outage map will remain available.
