How it works:
The Income Qualified Community Solar program allows corporate sponsors to buy down the Community Solar program monthly subscription cost, to increase affordability and make renewable energy available to income-qualified customers.
- Available to up to 5,000 income-qualified customers on a first come, first serve basis.
- Corporate sponsors will fund 75% of the monthly subscription cost, plus shared administrative fees.
We will retire the RECs on behalf of participating sponsors, while participating customers pay the remaining 25% of the subscription cost and receive energy credits applied to their monthly electric bill.

Corporate Sponsor Requirements
- Must be a Georgia Power customer
- Minimum of 100 block subscription
- First come, first serve
- Sold in increments of 100 blocks
- ~$22 per block per month (includes $18 subscription cost and share of admin fee)
- Execute contract with payment in full, or monthly payments amortized through end of pilot
- Commitment through December 31, 2025
